Hampton Inn - Fredricksburg VA
We recently traveled down I-95 for a relocation to Florida. We stayed at two Hampton Inns. The first was this Hampton Inn in Fredricksburg, Virginia.
We were so pleasantly surprised. The rooms were great, service above par and breakfast buffet quite adequate for what we required. We paid $99ea. for two king rooms, since our son was with us. Coming from metro NY we were happy about every single thing in this establishment and so lucky we found it on the I-95 travel site. The property location just off the highway was easy to find and there were plenty of alternate restaurants should you need to use them.
Hampton Inn - Santee SC
What a lovely place! Our room at this Hampton Inn was above and beyond for the price of $89pp for a King size bed.
The breakfast was more than adequate in variety and necessity. The staff so friendly. This is a perfect stop along I-95 and a great rest for the weary traveler. We ate at Shoneys because we did not want to go back out for a car ride. I don’t think I would do that again. But this Hampton Inn was well worth the money.
Celie’s Water Front Inn - Baltimore MD
The room decor and surrounding neighborhood are the best part of the stay at Celie’s Water Front Inn in Baltimore. The neighborhood is fun and full of charm too!
The place fails miserably if you’re hoping to sleep or expect some level of amenities like clean towels, a phone in your room, or someone to call after 5pm. No where does the web site indicate that your room is tucked above or in between bars with live music that vibrates your floor until 2 in the morning. The management considers their guests warned by describing the neighborhood as “active”.
For the money, this place is a thumbs down.
Days Inn - Lima, OH
I was traveling on I–75 in Ohio and looking for a pocket friendly place to stay in this rising gas price world. I found the Days Inn in Lima to be a convenient and comfortable economy we live in.
My room was cozy and comfortable, and they had a good contintental breakfast to get my day going. I will definitely return to stay at this Days Inn… it’s best for the buck - very affordable and comfortable!
Homewood Suites International Drive - Orlando, FL
They claim that it’s “the largest Homewood Suites Hotel on the Planet”. 252 very cozy, comfortable one and two room suites. Every one has a dataport which came in real handy for checking my email.
This hotel has a very nice courtyard pool, a free breakfast buffet, an evening reception with hors d’oeuvres and beverages, free local calls, and free USA Today.
They also have an exercize room and free transportation to the major theme parks. They even have a free grocery shopping service!
I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here next time we visit Orlando!
